KATHERINE BRAY

Katherine started performing at the age of sixteen locally in her hometown Canberra, Australia, and since then has performed nationally and internationally. Katherine has worked with many artists and bands over the course of her career such as Tori Darke, Christie Lamb, Katie Jayne, The Chris Ryan Band, Sophie Edwards, The Baker Boys Band, and The Spectrum Big Band. She has recorded in the studio on numerous singles, EPs and albums as well as her solo projects.

Pursuing music full-time professionally at the age of eighteen, she has performed in music theatre, big bands, covers bands for function events, and original bands opening for big acts such as Jerrod Niemann, The Rubens and Jeff Rosenstock. Katherine has played at major festivals such as Spilt Milk, where she played on the same stage as Post Malone, Ocean Alley and more, Stonefest, where she shared the stage with Bakar, Ball Park Music, and Dune Rats, as well as the Enlighten Festival, the annual art and cultural festival.

During the pandemic, Katherine started to post videos on YouTube to try and connect with a global audience through her drumming. She aimed to make her videos not only entertaining but also educational by offering transcriptions alongside some of them. Her online prescence gained attention, with one of her YouTube videos amassing over 150,000 views.

Recognizing the significance of perpetual growth, she actively pursues her studies under the guidance of David Jones. Prior to this she had the privelege of studying under Dom Famularo - an esteemed global ambassador for drumming, as well as notable musicians such as Ben Schumann, Mark Sutton and Chris Johnstone. Additionally, Katherine has completed the five-week summer course at Berklee College of Music, as well as earning a Diploma in Music Performance.
